Gallabox alternative: what you gain, what you lose, and how to move

If you are looking for a Gallabox alternative, you have probably hit one of its plan edges: a user cap, an AI credit meter, or a WhatsApp invoice that does not match Meta's rate card. This page is built from Gallabox's own pricing page as published in September 2026. It is specific about what Replio replaces, what it does not, and when staying on Gallabox is the better call.

Gallabox in 2026, briefly and fairly

Gallabox is no longer the WhatsApp-only flow builder that older comparisons describe, including an earlier version of this page. Every plan now includes a WhatsApp number, an Instagram handle and a website widget. It sells AI agents for lead qualification, appointment booking, Instagram DMs and comments, FAQ support and voice calls, it integrates with the CRMs sales teams actually use, and it is SOC 2 Type II compliant and an official Meta Business Partner.

Its self-serve plans are Basic at $112, Essential at $248 and Advanced at $474 a month billed annually, with Enterprise priced on request. Those are good products at fair prices for the teams they are designed for. The reasons people leave are rarely the headline features. They are four lines further down the comparison table.

The four reasons teams start looking

1. The user cap arrives before the budget does

Basic includes three users, and the cap is hard: Gallabox does not sell a fourth seat on Basic, so the fourth person on your team means upgrading to Essential at $248 a month billed annually, which includes six users and then charges $18 per extra user per month. For a small business that has just hired one more person to answer WhatsApp, that step is the most common trigger for a price comparison.

On Replio, seats come with the plan (2 on Starter, 5 on Scale, 15 on Pro) and extra seats are $20 per seat per month. Replies your team types are free and unlimited on every plan, so adding a person never adds a message cost.

2. AI on WhatsApp is not on the entry plan

On Basic, Gallabox's AI agent works on your website widget. AI agents on WhatsApp and Instagram start at Essential. The knowledge base follows the same ladder: Basic takes no data sources, Essential accepts documents and PDFs, and Advanced adds website URLs. If AI answering WhatsApp is the reason you chose Gallabox, the plan that actually does it is the $248 one.

Replio's AI agent answers on WhatsApp from the $49 Starter plan, trained by pasting your FAQs or importing your website, a file or a Google Doc, and the free plan already runs it on Telegram and your website.

3. Every AI action spends from a meter

Gallabox meters AI in credits: 500 a month on Basic, 2,000 on Essential and 8,000 on Advanced. Its pricing FAQ says credits are used by AI replies, translations, rewrites, knowledge-base lookups and outcome scoring, and that plan credits reset every cycle without rolling over. The practical question is not how many credits you get, but how many one answered customer question uses once lookups and replies are both counted. Ask before you size a plan.

Replio meters one thing: AI replies sent. Starter includes 8,000 a month, Scale 30,000 and Pro 50,000, and extra AI replies are $0.006 each. These are different units from Gallabox's credits, so compare them on your own message volume rather than on the numbers alone.

4. The WhatsApp bill has a second layer, and the contract has a term

Gallabox bills WhatsApp message fees separately from the subscription, and its pricing FAQ says those fees appear on your invoice with Gallabox's markup, discounted on Enterprise. Budget from Gallabox's own rate card, not Meta's. The published plans are billed quarterly or yearly, with no monthly option on the pricing page; quarterly plans cancel at the next cycle, and annual plans are not refunded mid-term.

Replio adds no markup on Meta's WhatsApp rates, since WhatsApp moved to per-message pricing most of what a support inbox sends is free anyway, and plans run month to month with cancellation in one click. Extra channels differ too: Gallabox charges $20 a month for each additional WhatsApp number, Instagram handle or widget on Essential and Advanced and offers none on Basic, while Replio connects several WhatsApp numbers to one inbox at no extra Replio fee.

When you should stay on Gallabox

Replio is the wrong move if two or more of these describe you, and it is better to find that out here than two weeks into a migration:

When Replio is the better fit

Replio fits when most of your inbox is questions rather than leads: prices, opening hours, delivery areas, availability, bookings, policies. Those have written answers, and an AI agent that has read them can reply in seconds, at night, in the customer's own language, and hand the conversation to a person only when it needs one. It also fits when your customers are spread across channels Gallabox does not cover. Messenger is still how many customers reach a Facebook page, and Telegram is the main channel for communities and for businesses in several markets.

Take one concrete case: a clinic with four front-desk staff answering WhatsApp and Instagram. On Gallabox, the smallest plan with both a fourth user and AI on WhatsApp is Essential at $248 a month billed annually, plus WhatsApp fees with markup. On Replio it is Scale at $149 a month, or $130 a month billed annually, with five seats, Messenger and Telegram included, bookings built in, and no markup on WhatsApp. Gallabox's plan includes things the clinic may never use, such as CRM sync and ad attribution; if the clinic does use them, the comparison changes, and the section above says so.

How to move from Gallabox to Replio

  1. Check your Gallabox term first. Quarterly plans end at the next cycle and annual plans are not refunded mid-term, so time the switch to your renewal date rather than paying twice.
  2. Copy out the answers your chatbot flows give. Open each active flow and write down what it tells customers: hours, prices, delivery areas, policies, booking rules. That text is most of your Replio knowledge base. Add your FAQ page or website on top.
  3. Start Replio on the free plan or the 7-day Starter trial and test the agent against the questions your flows handle today before you touch WhatsApp.
  4. Connect the channels that do not depend on your number first: Instagram, Messenger, Telegram and the website widget.
  5. Move WhatsApp last. Your number is registered with Meta, not owned by Gallabox. Ask Gallabox how they release it, check whether your approved message templates move with it, pick a quiet hour and connect it to Replio.
  6. Bring your people and contacts across. Export your contact list from Gallabox, import it into Replio, and invite your team to the shared inbox.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best Gallabox alternative in 2026?
It depends on why you are leaving. If you need two-way CRM sync with tools like Salesforce, click-to-WhatsApp ad attribution or payments inside WhatsApp, look for another tool built around sales pipelines. If most of your inbox is customer questions and you want AI on every channel without a hard user cap or a credit meter, Replio is a strong alternative: one AI agent across WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, Telegram and your website, with a free plan and paid plans from $49 a month.
How much does Gallabox cost?
Gallabox publishes three self-serve plans: Basic at $112, Essential at $248 and Advanced at $474 a month billed annually, with quarterly billing costing more and Enterprise priced on request. Basic is capped at 3 users; Essential and Advanced include 6 and 10, with extra users at $18 and $24 per user per month. WhatsApp message fees and AI credit top-ups are billed on top of the plan.
Does Gallabox include AI on WhatsApp?
Yes, from its Essential plan. On Basic, Gallabox's AI agent runs on the website widget only; AI agents on WhatsApp and Instagram start at Essential. AI work is metered in monthly AI credits (500, 2,000 or 8,000 by plan) that are used by AI replies, translations, rewrites and knowledge-base lookups, and plan credits do not roll over.
Does Gallabox charge a markup on WhatsApp messages?
Yes, by its own account. The FAQ on Gallabox's pricing page says WhatsApp fees are charged by Meta and appear on your Gallabox invoice with Gallabox's markup, as a usage charge separate from the subscription. On Replio there is no markup on Meta's WhatsApp rates.
Can I keep my WhatsApp number if I leave Gallabox?
Yes. Your WhatsApp Business number is registered with Meta, not owned by Gallabox, so it can be moved. Ask Gallabox how they release a number, check whether your approved message templates move with it, and connect it to Replio after your agent is trained and tested on your other channels.
Does Gallabox have monthly billing?
Not on its published pricing page, which offers quarterly or yearly billing. Its FAQ says quarterly plans cancel at the next cycle and annual plans are not refunded mid-term. Replio plans can be paid month to month or yearly at a discount, and you can cancel in one click at any time, keeping access until the end of the period you paid for.
