How it works
Paste your list
Names, phone numbers, usernames, anything. One per line, straight from WhatsApp, a spreadsheet or a comment thread.
Hit Shuffle
Every entry is reordered with a cryptographically random shuffle. Duplicates are dropped unless you want them kept.
Read it top to bottom
Position 1 is first, position N is last. Copy the numbered list and share it as your draw result.
What people use it for
Giveaway and raffle draws
Paste everyone who entered your WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram or Facebook giveaway. Shuffle once, in front of your audience if you like, and the top of the list wins. Post the numbered result so the draw is transparent.
Fair queues and turn order
Who presents first, who picks first, which customer gets the first call back. A shuffled list settles it without anyone feeling singled out.
Random samples from a contact list
Need to call twenty customers for feedback out of a few hundred? Shuffle the whole list and take the first twenty. Every contact had the same chance of being picked.
The generator does not change what you pasted. It only changes the order, so a name that appears in your list once appears in the result once, in a position chosen by chance. If you shuffle again you get a new order every time, which is why a draw should be shuffled once and the result copied straight away.
Questions
Is the shuffle really random?
Yes. The list is shuffled with the Fisher-Yates algorithm using your browser's cryptographic random number generator, so every ordering is equally likely. Nobody, including us, can influence the result.
Where do the names or phone numbers go?
Nowhere. Everything runs inside your browser. The list is never uploaded to a server. It is only saved locally on your device so a refresh does not lose it, and Clear wipes it.
How many entries can I shuffle?
As many as you can paste. Thousands of lines shuffle instantly.
Can I use it to pick giveaway winners?
Yes. Paste every participant, shuffle once, and take the top positions as your winners. The numbered order is the draw result. Copy it and post it so everyone can see the same list.
