One inbox, many WhatsApp numbers: Replio now answers on every line you run

From today, a Replio workspace can hold several WhatsApp numbers at once — a sales line and a support line, a number per city, or a number per country — all answered by the same AI, from the same shared inbox. Customers keep chatting with the number they know; your team keeps working in one place.

Why businesses run more than one number

One WhatsApp number is rarely the whole story. The moment a business grows, the numbers multiply: the line printed on the Lagos flyers isn't the one on the Abuja billboard, the number sales gives out isn't the one on the receipts, and the number customers in one country trust is a local one, not a foreign code. We built Replio's own support this way — a Qatar line for the Gulf and worldwide, and a Nigerian line for Nigeria — because customers simply respond better to a local number.

Until now, tools forced a choice: one number per bot, or separate inboxes per number with the team juggling tabs. Both are the wrong shape for how businesses actually operate.

How it works in Replio

What people use it for

SetupWhy
Sales line + support lineMarketing prints one number, receipts print the other — both answered instantly, both in one inbox.
A number per city or branchLocal flyers, local trust; head office still sees every conversation.
A number per countryCustomers message a local number in their own dialing code — like Replio's own Qatar and Nigeria lines.
Old number + new numberMigrate branding without abandoning the customers who saved the old line.

No extra Replio fee. Additional numbers are included on every plan that has WhatsApp. Meta's standard per-conversation rates apply per number and are paid directly to Meta, with no markup from Replio.

The details that make it safe

Multi-number messaging has sharp edges, and we built for them. Replies are always sent from the receiving number, because a reply from a different line would open a brand-new chat on the customer's phone and fall outside WhatsApp's 24-hour session window. Business-initiated messages, like broadcasts, are sent from your primary line. And connecting a new number can never silently replace an existing one — adding is always additive, and disconnecting is per-number.

Frequently asked questions

Can one business run multiple WhatsApp numbers with Replio?
Yes. A Replio workspace can hold several WhatsApp Business numbers at once — a sales line and a support line, a number per branch, or a number per country. Every number is answered by the same AI agent, trained once on your knowledge base, and every conversation lands in the same shared team inbox.
Which number do replies come from?
Always the number the customer wrote to. Each conversation is pinned to the line it arrived on, so AI replies, human replies from the inbox, and follow-ups all come from that same number — the customer sees one continuous chat.
How do I know which number a chat came in on?
Every WhatsApp conversation in the Replio inbox shows a "via" tag with the number the customer used, whenever more than one number is connected.
Does it cost extra to add another WhatsApp number?
Replio does not charge extra for additional numbers — the feature is included on every plan that includes WhatsApp. Meta's standard WhatsApp conversation rates apply per number and are paid directly to Meta, with no markup from Replio.
How do I add a second number?
In the Replio dashboard, open Channels, choose WhatsApp, and use Add another number. The number must be a WhatsApp Business (Cloud API) number that is not registered on the consumer WhatsApp app.
Do all the numbers share one knowledge base?
Yes. Every connected number answers from the same business knowledge base and shows conversations in the same inbox, so your team and your AI stay in one place no matter how many lines you run.
